“Embodying imagination, sensing irreparability: bodies and reproduction in times of exhaustion and displacement”
3-530 EST, in English
How do we approach the question of justice when we look at forms of irreparability affecting bodies, territories, and ecosystems? The talk explores a dialectics between collective forms of defending dignified life and the intensification of systemic harm at different scales, mostly related to dispossession and displacement in landscapes of war and militarization of daily life. It looks at forms of embodying imagination and expanding philosophical questioning to confront the incommensurability that is at stake in the ongoing antagonism between violent processes of accumulation and the possibility of sustaining collective, heterogeneous, and dignified life.
